3 weeks on paxil

Didn't like the side effects at 20mil, so I asked my doctor to change.  He doesn't want to because it takes a while supposedly to kick in (even though I was feeling effects, good and bad after the 3rd day).  So my options are go down to 10 mil and feel the anxiety go up or just deal with the side effects.

I hate the anxiety enough though, I'll take the side effects.

i would say  try stick with it but if your still feeling side effects after the next week or two  you should go back to your doc .

My doctor had said the same thing to me when I was on effexor-xr and didn't like how it made me feel. You just have to tough it out for a couple weeks to see how it will react when it peaks in your system.

What kind of side effect?  Most usually go away.  I would give it some more time.  Like you said, it is better than anxiety.

Side effects are common in the early stages of medication therapy, so hang in there

I'm refilling my subscription for another month.  I figure lets see what happens.  Some of the anxiety is back but the side effects are lessening so who knows.  The anxiety is still manageable though, and thats what counts!

Glad to hear you are staying with it. You need to give it a chance to no matter the side effects in the beginning(Unless you are getting SIGNIFICANTLY worse).
