Got Blood work!
« on: July 24, 2009, 12:46:09 AM »
Ok so today I saw my Doctor told her everything thats been going on lately and she gave me my bloodwork sheet.Lately I feel like i'm going crazy,my mind races,I feel really tired all day,I feel like i'm not in my body anymore, have crazy sleep problems, eyes feel buggy,And on top of all this I get panic attacks now :dazed:

I wish this would just go back to the old anxiety that I had!

Also, I thought I'd mention that I've had this feeling before. Recently, my anxiety (I think it's because of my work) has been overwhelming to the point that I wish I could just be...I dunno, feeling a 'different kind' of miserable. An 'older' miserable that I was more used to. I guess the best way I can describe it is that I used to be just anxious. But nowadays, it's almost to the level of traumatizing  :dazed:

Best of luck Hawk. Oh, yeah, and make sure that you have a good therapist when you start CBT! Doors probably said it best, but really, all that's important is you feel comfortable with him/her. If there's anything about them you don't like, speak up about it! It's their job to know!

I'd just like to say that this sort of anxiety progression can actually be indicative of healing... sometimes, it has to get to a point where we are literally at rock bottom and have nowhere else to go before we realize recovery is totally an option.

Hawk, I hope you will give CBT a try regardless of your blood test results. Anxiety IS the issue here... I hope you realize that. And I think you do.

I've never heard of it personally, but I looked it up on Amazon and it has excellent reviews. And step-by-step is always a good strategy. Please let us know how it goes!

Are you on any medications Hawk?  I thought I remember you recently talking about some.  Did your anxiety get worse after you started taking them?

How did your blood results turn out?  do you have the numbers?  Was it the standard lipid panel?
