Wow this post has helped me more than anything else I have found online.  Thanks so much for it.  I am brand new to this forum and it has already helped me immeasurably.  It is excellent knowing I am not alone and other people feel like they have every disease known to man.  I wish both peace and comfort to all of you. Thanks again!!

I am coming here instead of going to Google. To Ight 8 had a great evening at work and as soo. As I got alone in my car I started to feel the strange. ECM pains. I hid them fromm husband until I was convinced that the pain was radiating down my arm and chest. My husband had me put my relaxation App on and he rubbed my feet and made me stay away from Google. Needless to say, I started feeling better and came here to see if the. ECM pain was a symptom of An iety. I love this post. I love this place. Y'all make me feel like I'm not alone. You have wise people on here making sense of my sesnseless thoughts. Thank you. I will be coming here instead of Google.

I need that, MORE than ever!! but then again, sometimes google helps me to feel better, like my dr told me heart fltters can be dangerous so I googled it and everyone with anxiety has it, and its ok, its not going to kill me, so why did hescare me?? but I loved this :) thank you, and very helpful

Agreed!!!! Such a great site. It has helped me so much in my daily battles with HA. To just remind myself when an attack begins that I am not alone and others are going through this too is a huge help. And of coarse google is not so much, at least when you are searching for your new ahlement. And of coarse lets not forget about all those apps for iPhone too like webmd and such which always point out the worst problems. You can type in that you have a headache and it'll immediately load with possible cancers you may have in your brain. Lol.

You, sir/ma'm, just saved me from a panic attack. Thanks for all these tips to overcome my phobia. A read I would recommend to anyone with hypochondria.

Such good advice. I'm a terrible googler, though I'm having to give it up now as my husband has threatened to cut off my internet access if I google symptoms again o_O. I get myself into all kinds of worries though and end up crying and thinking I'm dying.

I cannot say thank you enough.  My husband is always getting on to me when I can't quit Googling.  I'm really having a hard time of it the last few weeks.  But you hit the nail on the head.  Now I just need to get it through my head.

Thank You!

god i am the worst at this.  you know i did this and did this for years, and then one day i woke up with this serious ear condition i am battling right now.  so of course it has drove me to bonkers anxiety, a trip to the ER and a one week stay at the looney bin, no joke.  all my worst fears have come to ahead.  my father died of cancer (one of my biggest fears of death), it was a slow horrible death too.  then i got this horrible ear conditon that has been with me now for 4 months.  dizziness, humming in my hear,  pressure changes hurt me so bad, pain on the side of my face, fullness and fogginess in head.  of course i have been reasearching up a storm and my doctors here treat me like a freak since they saw that i had that one week stay at the looney bin.  they now dont take me serious.  i have to travel all the way to another state to see a good doctor.  i am so sad and i do tend to have suicidal thoughts.  :(.  i am trying really hard to be on the up and up but everything is pounding me to the group big time.

I took a big step tonight - I downloaded the Siteblock plugin and have blocked 10 sites.

I haven''t googled in about a month, but started to tonight.  Can't shake this feeling.  But I only looked one answer up and signed out and got on here.  I really do feel like I'm going crazy sometime.

Oh God I'm awful for this! I tend to think I have heart problems or a blood clot, and work myself up which makes my heart beat faster, and increases my fear. This post has seriously helped me, thank you so much! Anxiety is taking over my life  :sick0002:

Love this post. My doctor actually ordered me to stop Googling my symptoms, and if I absolutely had to Google, to only look at WebMd....lol It has really helped a lot. Sometimes I'll slip and start Googling again, but then I have to remind myself of how much less stressed I was when I was following docs orders. It's an ongoing process.  ::)
