CONVERSION ANXIETY

Hello I am Kellie NEW to this site.  I have had terrible side effects from conversion anxiety for a couple of years now.  I just got a dx on it finally of Sept of 2005.  I was wanting to talk to someone who suffers all the side effects too!  Hoping they can explain how you find your true triggers and try to understand what this really is........I have had 3 years of Dialectal Behavioral Therapy and 24 ECT treatments in the late 90s and by 2000 Have lost my short term memory and some long term memory.  So it makes it hard to understand how this all works how something from your past is causing this learned behavior to take place?????  Thats all I know about it and it takes sometimes 3 days before I can move walk and talk effectively again......if I'm not waiting for my body would stop shaking, my toes uncurl, and my body to  finally be able to move and able to move my mouth......or even open it........to finally take my meds for this condition.....

I haven't found out my triggers.  I feel like what could have happen to hide so deep within me and what is this trigger.  My therapist teaches the dbt and the cognitive behavioral therapy but I guess I feel a form of denial and not going to accept what my trigger really is or not able find out my trigger.  So why go further and investigate it....??

Well I hope someone can help me better understand how they found their triggers and can share it with me.

 I've had anxiety problems for a lot of years and have done a lot of research, but I've never heard of "conversion anxiety"

I know about ECT and the memory the losses associated with it.
