SET ME FREE!
« on: July 08, 2009, 03:13:01 PM »
Hello,My anxiety has maxed out now!  I have panic attacks now even though I only had GAD,there so bad that my mind just feels like it is being flooded. It is very hard for me to explain what goes through my mind but there is so much going through my mind at once that I just want to curl up in a ball and start rocking :(   It really feels like i'm going crazy!   When the thoughts start racing they don't even make sense!  Let me explain, one minute I feel scared the next I feel paranoid and the thoughts them self are so random its crazy.
Like bird, book, spider,i'm going crazy, what if I lose myself, what if I go blind, and on top of that I keep thinking or feel that I am going to start seeing things or hear things.   Right now as I type this I feel tired and scared, can anyone please just tell me this is just anxiety and not Paranoid Schizophrenia or BI-Polar or something else?  Also Is it true that people that realize they are having something means they are not crazy?    And one more thing if you have any of this will you please tell me how you felt or what your mind did?   And also when I take Xanax It helps my mind die down some!

Please Help and Thank You.        PS. If my other posts seem like this one its because I am very stressed right now and I just need answers.

I'm sorry you're feeling so awful! I don't know what it means - I do get pretty worked up when I'm very anxious, though not quite to the extent you're talking about (I don't have panic attacks). Can you take more Xanax? Maybe you can call your doctor and see what a good dose is to take right now. You shouldn't have to feel this bad! And you don't sound "crazy" to me - just very anxious.

Hang in there - let us know how you're doing.

Hawk

Racing thoughts are caused by anxiety.  And people with GAD can and often do have panic attacks.  I occasionally have panic attacks.  What you are experiencing doesn't sound like Bi-Polar or schiz.  People with schizephrenia don't know what they are experiencing  is delusional.  Bi-Polar is shifting from depression to manic behavior.  I really don't think you have either disorder.  I do think you need to see a therapist.  He/She could really help you put what's going on in your mind into perspective.  I think that you are just so worried that you have these other illnesses that it is making your GAD w-o-r-s-e.

MOST anxiety happens at the subconscious level.  JUST because you don't feel consciously anxious or had a day or two of calm doesn't mean your mind & body are relaxed.  It can take months of reduced anxiety before a body goes back to a more non-reactive state.

I'm going to make a appointment there is no reason why I should let myself feel so bad all the time!   In the mean time what should I do to stop thinking so much about this?   Also the reason this bothers me so much is because its not really worry like it used to be,but more of a overwhelming feeling that I can't even talk or think my way out of.   Its almost like i'm confused when it happens Like I forget things very easily and can't think for S**T

Hey HAWX. Yeah man, bad stuff happening. You gotta go see a doctor. Be careful though, because in my experience, I've seen a LOT of shitty doctors

Try your best not to ruminate on your thoughts. Get some help man!

Hi Hawk

Sorry to hear what you are going though.

Take it was someone that was wear you are now. I was that ball curled up on the floor , i was that bad that it was happening every day, Gad , Anxiety , or any other thing you want to name it as. You are having a plain old nerveous breakdown.

The fact is your system are overwhelming you , your nerves are running on overload and that is all their really is to it. Dont give it a name just look at it for what it is. A tired system that is working to hard. Your nevres run everything in your body. You are now to the stage were your subconscious is working againist you.

You need to brake this , I did mine without tablets but if i could have found a better doctor i think the right tablets in the short term would have help. But most of all you need to read learn and understand what is happening to you. You are not dieing or ill with something nasty. It is just your nerves running on overload.

I know it is hard but when you start to get the panics you need to look at it for is and Say I know its is just my system and if i do not react it will calm down , It takes time but the more you stop feeding it the more it will calm down.

 Cheers kev
