Hi, i'm joseph, 18,  and new to the forum. I don't really suffer from social anxiety disorder, but my anxiety is enough to prevent me from interacting socially. My parents were too overprotective of me when i was younger eg. i had to get home before it was dark, so consequently, i never had a chance to 'go out'. I've already had some help from a counsellor, as a matter of fact, he recommended me to this forum, but progress has been 'gradual'. How can i reconnect?

MOST anxiety happens at the subconscious level.  JUST because you don't feel consciously anxious or had a day or two of calm doesn't mean your mind & body are relaxed.  It can take months of reduced anxiety before a body goes back to a more non-reactive state.
