If you were in the middle of having an aneurysm, you'd know it. Mostly because you'd be at the hospital!

I get all those symptoms with tension headaches- it's like an excruciating pain radiating up from my shoulders, into the base of my skull and down into the temples. It can get so bad that I'll get a numb face as well as trouble speaking. This is also ALWAYS accompanied by visual issues and I get these headaches pretty much every other day.

Check your posture, check your breathing. You might be having a migraine, too... Hard to tell because migraines can be different for everyone. My migraines are usually initiated by a tension headache, and then I'll get really, REALLY nauseous and be out of commission for a couple of days. Take some advil, or even better would be Robaxacet if you have it (I recommend Robax Platinum).

And...

Stop googling!!!!!
You'll drive yourself up the wall!

hi sorry to hear that try not to worry its the worst thing you can do, take a few tylenol if you can drive go get a coffee coolatta from dunkin donuts if you can, the sugar in it will comfort you and the caffeine will help the headache and its nice a cold. but then try to lay down and watch t.v. and take a nice nap you will be fine.

oh nooooooooo don't google!!

cross aneurysim off the list right now---once the really massive headache caused by an aneurysim shows up, typing isn't what you could be doing.

meningitis---I had a friend who had it years ago--she survived had a tough time of it though.  yep horrid headache and massive fever.  Do you have a massive fever?  I think hers, age 18 at the time, was over 104.  Not good for someone that age.  Then she passed out.  so again if you have these things you couldn't be typing.

I'm thinking you have a nasty migraine.  You may want go lay in bed with the lights down.  Put a cool cloth over your eyes and try to relax.  If you haven't taken any meds, you could go with advil.  My son had a really bad headache.  The neuro suggested Aleve.

I'm sorry you have this horrid headache.   :traurig001:

MOST anxiety happens at the subconscious level.  JUST because you don't feel consciously anxious or had a day or two of calm doesn't mean your mind & body are relaxed.  It can take months of reduced anxiety before a body goes back to a more non-reactive state.

Just to continue what sixpack was saying, if you can make it to a walk-in clinic or something, and if it IS a migraine, they can give you meds that will contract the veins in your head (sounds gross doesn't it). But if it is a migraine, it really helps!! And if it's not helped by those, it's probably just a good old tension headache.
