Anxiety, Panic Attacks and Agoraphobia and FMLA
« on: April 05, 2009, 11:40:15 PM »
This last past week, (thank goodness I have FLMA paper work with my HR dept.) I've been home, sad, down, crying, only going out when I had to and been just plain miserable. I recently had my Zoloft increased from 50 MG a day to 100 MG a day. I'm hoping that didn't contribute to it.

Anyway, I have my regular appt. with my counselor tomorrow night, my bf is going with me, and in a month, I have a psych eval with the resident psychiatrist at my counselor's office.

Part of me doesn't' know if I can hold on and wait that long. I almost feel like I need to check myself into a facility.

Another opinion that I'm considering is that I do tech support for a large printing/shipping company, and work the chat channel, which is normally less stressful.

I have earned in the past the ability to work from home. Would it bee too much to ask for the possibility for me to do this on a semi-permanant basis. I've been with the company almost 12 years, have worked my way from the field to a corp. job, and they have even spent $1,500 in training and certification for me to be certified for my job.

My immediate supervisor, who sometimes I question his motives, has worked hard with myself and HR on having the FMLA paperwork put into place for job security,

I guess I just don't know right now what the right choice is for me.

I think you are just going through a rough spot in your life right now. You will get
through it fine as long as you don't give up. You have to keep on telling yourself that
you will be OK and get some support from friends, family and professional help.
All medications don't work for everyone, so you may need to try different ones until
you find one that works best for you.

Could you wait until the FMLA paperwork is finalized before you make a decision?
