pain in arm and center of back
« on: March 27, 2009, 08:56:01 PM »
ughhhhhh so my bad twitching stopped and now i have an unbearable at times pain in my left arm and center of my back like it is all linked.... it feels like trapped gas or something but at times it hurts and burns so bad i get freaked out and think the worst such as heart attack or some weird neuro disease    i just wish all of these physical symptoms would go away so i can recover but when they are constantly freaking me out into panic attacks its creating a cycle that cant quit.... anybody else have anything like this?  i need somebody to talk to so bad right now.... no doctor or person i am around will be able to talk to me about this.... no doctor i have seen ever takes me seriously because i am 23 years old, they assume i am okay and send me away... somebody help!!!

It sounds like heartburn to me, at 23 it is extremely unlikely that you would be having heart issues.  I have had similar feelings that you described and I figure it's either gas or my back is out of alignment.  If you have been to the doctor for this and they have told you that everything is fine then you need to accept that there is nothing serious wrong with you.

As far as the symptoms going away, you need to be strong and push through the attacks.  You've probably heard this 100 times but fear feeds the anxiety, and the only way that you can break this cycle is to not fear the symptoms.  Easier said than done, I know, but this is truly the only way to recover.

Be strong and take care. :action-smiley-065:

Sounds like gas, muscle issues, etc. If it gets worse, than I would call a physician.

oh my god i feel like i was just reading about myself!i am 23 and exactly the same feelings come in my left arm 2, i hate it, its all so frustrating and feel like it is totally runing my life at time, although i try so hard not to let it!!i have been to the docs numerous times with all my anxiety related stuff, and even tho he is really nice and reasurring, its still doesnt help when im sitting at home and the aches and pains come and i start to worry and panic. I also get the pain in the centre of my back which really is uncomfortable and i think alot of that is to do with trapped gas and wind.

It sounds like we have alot in common, so if you ever want to message me, then feel free!
