Acid Reflux

My Acid Reflux is so bad, its really making me feel so nauseous.  I still have this feeling that something is stuck in my throat, and can feel the acid right at the back of my throat.  I have a scope on Thursday just hope they can find a cause. I have been on Nexium for three months and its not better.  If anyone on here has had a scope can you advise me whether or not I should get sedated?

I had the scope in November.  I was sedated and did not remember a thing.  I highly suggest this way of doing it.  You will be more at ease.

I'm sure you will do fine.  really it is a piece of cake procedure.

Turns out I have Barrett's Esophagus, a pre cancerous condition that is irreversible.  I know have to have yearly scopes to make sure it does not turn into Cancer.  So many things I cannot eat or drink anymore.  I have been doing lots of reading on it, makes me nervous. Would love to speak to anyone who has the same thing and who has perhaps had any treatment for it.
