I don't know what's happening.
« on: February 15, 2009, 06:38:41 PM »

I have been on Citalopram for a year and have been living with my boyfriend for that time. I haven't had a panic attck for a year because I am on sleeping pills and anti-depressants. Now all of a sudden yesterday my boyfriend leaves for Canada to visit family and I am having a full blown attack. It's 1:30 am and I've taken my pills, I all of a sudden started to cry. I have this warm burning sensation all down my arms and my legs. I feel almost as if Im disorientated and I have this deep pain in my stomache. I have 12 days alone and I don't know what to do! Is this normal? does anyone have any suggestions? I have work tomorrow and all I can think of is calling in sick because Im afraid of not sleeping and this fear is keeping me awake! help!

I think this is very normal for people who suffer from GAD. It sounds like seperation anxiety from your boyfriend and you just need to tell yourself that its okay and that he will be back in 12 days. Try to find something that will pre occupy your mind from him in the meantime. I know this sounds like its very hard but I think you really need to give it a go and see how it works.
