Celexa & sweating

Anyone on Celexa start sweating at random times for no apparent reason?  Ever since I started, it's been happening to me.  (I'm a hypochondriac, so I always attribute sweating to something worse.)

Also, anyone know when you up your dosage if some of the side effects come back for a while and does it take more time for the new dose to start working as it should?

I'm sick of my Dr. right now and don't want to talk to her about it unless I really have to.

Increased sweating is a common side effect of most ssri, especially lexapro and celexa.

It happens to me and many others.

celexa made me sweat a lot. after you've been on it awhile you'll stop sweating as much be still sweat more than if you weren't on it.

Don't forget anxiety by itself can cause this.

I remember reading a drug profile... and increased sweating to some degree was reported in over 20% of later studies trials.

anyways... a little sweaty palms or feet..... not a bad price to pay for your sanity!

You should relax...  How long have you been taking it?

I've been on it for about six and a half weeks, just upped my dosage last week.  I'm noticing a small improvement, but not to where I'd like to be.

I never had much of a sweating problem before taking it, but I can deal as long as I know it's a normal side effect of the medication.  It's annoying, but definitely better than freaking out constantly.

SuperJew26, I was going to PM you about this, but I'll just ask you here since you replied to this post.  I searched the forum for "fish oil" and saw that you said you were taking fish oil with your Lexapro.  Are you still doing this?  If so, you've had no bad effects, right?

Although I do admit it is possible to be a placebo effect.. fish oil helped on lexapro, and still helps me with my current drug prozac....
It could be one of the reasons why I haven't had to increase my dosage.

I look at this as a Risk/Benefit comparison...... Omega 3's have promising research in many health benefits - including brain and heart health..... but it may take 15 years before more conclusive clinical studies are done....
and if does nothing... well im out about 5 dollars a month..... the average cost of a beer at a pub. No side effects.
