Greetings

Several months ago the number of private messages (PM's) that could be sent on the forum was decreased to 1 per hour. This was a measure that was taken due to several complaints that were sent in regarding the spamming of members through the PM system (mostly "miracle anxiety cures", etc).

Having just updated the chat rooms, it suddenly occurred to me that this would severely limit the ability of members to report problems with these new chat rooms. In addition to this, I've personally received at least 2 (perhaps 3) PM's asking that the limit be increased and so I've just increased it to 3 PM's per hour.

This should strike a balance between the need to protect our members from being spammed via the PM system while at the same time affording them the freedom to send several PM's to several members at a time and without having to wait an hour in between PM's which could be detrimental in a situation where another member is in need of support and is unable to get it because of time constraints.

I can still only send only 1 PM per hour

Unfortunately, we have begun having issues with PM spam again and until a solution can be found (I'm working on it), the limit has been set to 1 per hour.

Back up to 3 PM's per hour again. Let's see how this goes.
