What is behind the mind walls?
« on: August 23, 2006, 06:55:11 AM »
Hello everyone,

What is behind the mind walls? There may be a very complex issue that is in constant study. We have people of all kinds, including mentally ill, so-called normal minds, geniuses and so forth. The mind has been notorious to play tricks on us, let us down, skip to another level and so forth. It seems with the war between the brain and self there is never a winning ticket.

The fact is the mind holds the key to all areas of your body, but the central nervous system is the channel to the brain. In the majority instances if the brain is affected is a direct result of the central nervous system and spinal column. If the spinal column is crooked or injured then it will affect the nervous system, which works its way toward the brain. Once the brain is hit, the troubles begin and frequently do not quite until someone finds out the cause of the problem.

Head injuries, disorders, cognitive disorders, diseases of the mind, and so on are the problems that are many people today suffering from. As the years progress the problems may increase. In my research, studies, case studies, and so forth I found that people that visited Chiropractors were often healthier than those that did not. When a doctor focuses on the spine, which is a straight link to the brain, results often occur.

Scientists and Chiropractors

To understand the different mental illnesses, diseases and physical impairments scientists are often searching for solutions. They often go in every direction and sometimes the answer is lying before them. The problem is everyone has opinions, theories, and guesses and many of them are omitting the voices that call out with expertise and experience. Regarding Medicaid and Chiropractor services, there were major controversial issues recently.

For a short time, the Chiropractors were not qualified to take Medicaid Patients, yet many doctors has treated some of the same people and found no answer to fix the many problems. While most people consider that Chiropractors work only with the physical portion of the body, they overlook that these experts also work with the minds everyday. Let’s examine ADHD/ADD patients.

In most cases, a part of the nervous system, spine and brain is the most important cause of the symptoms of this diagnose. Most mental health experts will offer the patients drugs, which only covers the symptoms and is often causing other problems including, psychosis, and schizophrenia symptoms.

Welcome back David.  Hope you are feeling better.

In delayed response to your post.  I agree that chiropractors are helpful along with many other options such as acupuncture, meditation, and cognitive approaches, but I doubt any will solve the anxiety disorder epidemic.  In my opinion medications are helpful for some people.  I manage to get by for many many years with no meds, but as life became more complicated then the need for medication became more apparent.

I guess my feeling is that the mind and body both need to be healthy in order to manage anxiety disorder, so by exercising and using meditation or another type of cognitive approach you could considerably help your anxiety.  The problem is, many of us don't have the time in our daily lives to do enough of either to truly help and some try but never find comfort for whatever reason.  Personally, I meditate every day and relax my mind during anxiety plus take meds which has been the best combo for me. I eat well and exercise as much as possible.  These all help.

Again, welcome back!

Hello OE,

You are absolutely right about exercise and we must have a healthy body and mind.

In today’s fast-paced world, most of the people do not find 24hours a day adequate to carry out the tasks they want to. This lack of time, load and pressure of work creates nervousness and produces panic situations. The result is mind filled of tensions and worries. Combination of all these factors causes loss of sleep, loss of health and other kinds of mental and physical illnesses.

All these things combined drive a person to the use of anti-depressants and other medications. In the past and an extent even now, anti-depressants have been very popular in treating stress related diseases.

Thank you for the welcome.

I would say to do a little reading and the post your story under the general discussion section if you are comfortable with that.  Otherwise, just feel free to ask any questions or hang out and read for awhile.  Everyone here is very genuine and willing to help, so I think you will find a very warm welcome.

Later,
