Sound Familiar
« on: October 02, 2008, 02:03:26 PM »
Does this sound familiar to anyone? Last December I had this strange intense feeling through my chest. The only thing that helped was exercise but the feeling always came back. So of course i began to worry about heart problems and the feeling just got worse. eventually I went to ER and they did all the normal tests, stress test, EKG, blood test and they all turned out ok. The symptoms seemed to just disappear for no reason. I just filed it under stress do to the upcoming birth of my daughter and a family member in the ICU. I never really received an explenation from my doctor for the cause.
Unfortunetly I have that feeling again and this time its for no known reason. At first I began to feel heart palpitations and then the edgy tesion feeling. I feel like I am really nervous or anxious about something but yet I have no idea over what. I am not under any abnormal stress nor am I depressed. I went to the dr. and my blood pressure was 146/84 so he put me on Atenolol to decrease the blood pressure and palpitations. After a week the Atenolol doesn't seem to be helping much at all. Exercise seems to help for a while but never for long. Does this sound familiar to anyone? Any ideas on how to get over this....Thanks
