What do you guys think?
« on: August 08, 2006, 01:31:55 AM »
I am writing because I need someone's input.  When I was younger I was what you would call fearless, I did not have a care in the world.  As I got older I began to worry, and worry, and it got worse, lately, I began to realize there was a definite problem.
My boyfriend's boss's daughter was killed in a horrible car accident and for some reason I can't get the horrible details out of my head, I did not know the girl and know doubt it is a tragic event, but I am constantly haunted by horrific images.  I sometimes feel like things are too good to be true and something terrible is about to happen any minute.  I always have like a knot feeling in my chest and I cannot sleep because of the horrible thoughts/worries.  I can't even watch the news anymore because it is so upsetting to me.  Lately, I feel like it would just be safer to stay at home and not drive, I am missing school because of it.  Do you think I could have an anxiety disorder?  Are there medications that could help me be like my old self again?  I feel horrible and I don't know what to do and I knew if anyone would understand it would be everyone on this board.
Thank you everyone...
