Help how do I stop this?
« on: September 24, 2008, 06:54:50 AM »
I've convinced my self that I have leukemia or lymphoma, I was afraid of this months ago and ended up going to the doctor, she did a total blood test and everything was OK, that was 6 months ago.  Now I'm afraid again, that it's just starting now, just this night I woke up and I was sweaty around my neck and shoulders, it's not even hot in the room, now that means I'm having a night sweat another symptom.  How do I stop this I think about it all day, I try to on purpose bruise myself to see if I'm bruising easy.  How do I stop I can't even get one moment of peace......

From what I understand, night sweats mean soaking through your night clothes, not waking up sweaty around your neck and shoulders. You had the blood work done, have faith in that!

Please refer to all my posts on night sweats and my worries about that. I currently got rid of my sweats through an acupuncturist and I had them on and off for three years. When I was seeing an oncologist, of my own accord, they would teat me about every three months and it would always be fine. I was even losing weight and had a fluctuating temp.....nothing came about it! I think it was a low grade viral infection that just kept reoccurring, which I have again now. I think you are fine, especially if your blood work came back normal. I would look at alternative testing for the night sweats  (i.e. if you are female, start with your hormones).

I'm male, and I thank you for your response, what scares me is I have the rash on my fingers (little bubbles that for under the skin) which I'm pretty sure is a form of exchema (SP?) but when I grab something really hard and pull really hard (Like a wrench) I get these little red spots that form where it happens, they fade away in a few hours but it's really driving me mad, this is the worst I've been in a long while I can't think about anything else.
