Hypochondria (Health Anxiety) (summary)

Discussion of Hypochondria also known as "health anxiety". Hypochondria is a belief that real or imagined physical symptoms are signs of a serious illness, despite medical reassurance and other evidence to the contrary. Such a person may repeatedly look up symptoms on the internet and become convinced that they have at least some (or all) of them ("Cyberchondria").
